As a member of SSA, you or your spouse may receive up to four hours of personal, confidential counseling face-to-face or by phone with Dr. Donald Hill at Frazer Counceling Center in Montgomery. Dr. Hill has been a school superintendent and knows first hand the stresses of the job. He is highly respected and very effective. Professional Security Fund: (as a member of CLAS)

Through your CLAS membership, CLAS provides you sample principal contracts, legal counsel concerning administrators' jobs, and the highly beneficial Professional Security Fund. This unique benefit provides up to $25,000 for attorney's fees to defend a CLAS member.

The Professional Security Fund is designed to protect you when a local board or national association will not. This new benefit is of tremendous assistance to the administrator being sued or charged as a result of duties performed in his/her job. The Professional Security Fund can also be used for Ethics Commission charges and job defense.
